It was all about the glam at Brandon and Lindsay’s New Year’s Eve wedding. From sequin bridesmaid dresses and a white fur shrug to towering centerpieces with shimmering crystals tucked in, Lindsay and Brandon pulled out all the stops. For a bride and groom who knew from the moment they started planning their wedding that it had to be a winter event, this night was a dream come true.

Brandon and Lindsay met years earlier at Drury University after being introduced to one another by a mutual friend. Weeks turned into months, and months turned into years, and before long the two had maintained best friend status throughout college, nursing school and into their early professional careers. “After seven years of friendship, two years of dating, and a year and a half of wedding planning, we met at the altar,” Lindsay says.

Brandon popped the question during a weekend trip to Eureka Springs, where he had already arranged an elaborate plan with the hotel. After a romantic dinner, Brandon suggested they return to their room to watch the NBA Championship game. When Lindsay opened the door, she was greeted with rose petals, candles, champagne and dessert. “When I turned around to hug and thank him, he was on his knee with a beautiful ring in hand,” she says.

With a date nailed down and the theme of wintery New Year’s Eve party selected, it was time to start planning, but there was one hiccup: Lindsay works the night shift at Cox South’s Neuro-Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Without a wedding planner to help carry the load, Lindsay’s amazing bridesmaids stepped up and called vendors and set up Lindsay’s appointments. “They went with me to many of my appointments and gave me great insight with every little detail. I am very thankful to have such great friends,” she says. A year and a half after the proposal, when New Year’s Eve finally rolled around, Lindsay and Brandon’s unforgettable winter bash went off without a hitch, and the couple rang in the New Year and the start of new chapter of their relationship.

All That Glitters: 1. To play up the winter-glam theme, the bridesmaids wore sequin black dresses. 2. Brandon purchased Lindsay’s engagement ring and matching wedding bands from Mitchum Jewelers then surprised her with a gorgeous right-handed ring from Mitchum, which she can wear to work. 3. The bridesmaids’ sequin dresses complimented the groomsmen’s black suits and silver ties. 4. Artistry in Bloom used white hydrangeas and roses for the bouquets and table centerpieces and accented the centerpieces with iced branches with hanging crystals to fit the elegant iced-winter theme. 5. In lieu of the traditional cake, the couple decided on a cupcake tower and served a variety of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with fruit filling.
