Hanna Key and Evan Lord attended the same junior high, but the two didn’t become sweethearts until they had a class together at Parkview High School. After graduation, Hanna went to Missouri State University and Evan went to school in Fayetteville, but they reconnected every couple of weeks and spent summers and holidays together. When he proposed, Evan gave Hanna a frame containing the actual room number plaque from their first class together (which he dug out of the rubble during Parkview’s remodel). The two were married outdoors at The Loft at Keith Farms in Ash Grove and Hanna’s dad, graphic designer Brett Key, incorporated the windmill on the property into their invitations, programs (which were printed on handheld fans) and bags used at the candy, peanut, pretzel and popcorn bar. Antique furniture was brought in to create seating areas, and the entire event was a labor of love by family and friends, Hanna says.
