Country Chic: The Round Barn's charming architecture (pictured) lends itself to great photo-ops. The Barn at Dalton Ranch (below) is easily transformed into an elegant venue for weddings.

Looking for a place to tie the knot? Lucky for you, 417-land brides have more than 100 venue options. You’ll find cutesy little tea rooms, luxe ballrooms and everything in between, all providing brides and grooms with the venue they desire.

Since rustic, country weddings have taken the 417-land wedding scene by storm, we decided to explore southwest Missouri’s most rustic venues a bit closer. We found a riverside venue where people are saying their I do’s in snazzy treehouse cabins and another barn-turned-hitching post that’s two stories tall. Read on to plan your own country-chic big day.

The Barn at Dalton Ranch
HC 71 Box 157, Ava; 417-683-0615, thebarnatdaltonranch.weebly.com

Why We Love It: Antique décor and white lights give this venue a soft, quiet romance. When you pair that with Mason jar lights and drinking glasses, you have a perfectly romantic wedding.

Added Bonus: This venue has tons of great décor and props brides can use, including a covered wagon that's great for photos.

Price: $1,500 with a $200 non-refundable deposit. This includes the rehearsal, wedding and reception.

The Round Barn
10755 W. U.S. Highway 160, Walnut Grove; 417-207-3896, theroundbarnmo.com

Why We Love It: The Round Barn is more than 100 years old, and it boasts a rustic charm that is still going strong. In fact, its age is one of the most fabulous things about the place. The exposed beams in the entryway add to the venue’s elegant romance, and the addition of twinkling lights takes the decor to the next level.

Added Bonus: The barn is built from limestone, which creates a beautiful backdrop for photo-ops.

Price: Prices vary. Contact The Round Barn for more details.

The Barn at Stone Valley Plantation
2131 E. 530th Rd., Pleasant Hope; 417-818-8443, stonevalleyplantation.com

Why We Love It: This venue’s layout provides for great photo opportunities, and the space itself is the perfect example of cozy country elegance. Drape tables with burlap and add touches of lace to the spot, and you’ll have a beautiful rustic backdrop for your big day.

Added Bonus: There’s a room filled with rustic and antique décor items, so you can mix and match to suit your fancy.

Price: $2,000; this includes a full day (wedding and reception) as well as the day before for set up and rehearsal dinner purposes.

River of Life Farm
1746 River of Life Dr., Dora; 417-261-7777, riveroflifefarm.com

Why We Love It: The lodge at River of Life Farm overlooks the North Fork of the White River, giving you a spectacular backdrop for your wedding. The lodge’s cedar logs add to the ambience of the countryside.

Added Bonus: There are multiple locations on the grounds where you can have your ceremony. A waterfall provides a scenic backdrop, and some even choose to get married on the porch of a treehouse log cabin.

Price: It’s $700 to book the lodge for your wedding. Call 417-261-7777 or visit treehousecabins.com for additional information and pricing.
